Considered Unreasonable, SM Entertainment Officially Sues Chen, Baekhyun, Xiumin EXO

JAKARTA - SM Entertainment announced that they are suing Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin EXO (CBX) legally. They think these three idols do not comply with contract rules.

"We have filed a lawsuit against Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin with the Seoul District Court to demand the fulfillment of their contracts," said SM Entertainment.

Furthermore, the agency that oversees EXO will respond in accordance with court policies. They also did not explain the demands given by EXO-CBX.

"We will respond according to the law and policies," said SM Entertainment.

The agency filed a lawsuit because they could not tolerate Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin's actions which were deemed unreasonable. They asked for their approval to be approved as the first stage.

On Monday, June 10, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin EXO represented by their agency, INB100 held a press conference to explain SM Entertainment did not fulfill the agreement and demanded parts beyond their rights.

SM Entertainment ignored the negotiation requirements that became the basis of the agreement and demanded 10 percent of the individual artist's income from INB100. INB100 sent certification containing content regarding the wrong actions, but SM Entertainment has not responded for more than two months," said INB100.

INB100 claims SM Entertainment did not meet the cost of EXO-CBX music distribution of 5.5 percent, but asked for 10 percent of Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin's activities as solo singers.

Hours later, SM Entertainment denied the report and said, "The essence of all these incidents is the actions of MC Mong and Cha Ga Won against our artists."

"CBX enjoys the benefits of EXO members but refuses promises or policies," he said.

EXO-CBX itself stated that they will continue to be active as EXO members under SM Entertainment, including discussing making an album this year.
