Amy Adams Turns Into A Dog In The Latest Film, Nightbitch

JAKARTA - Amy Adams is the main character in the latest film titled Nightbitch. Produced by Searchlight, the film is directed and written by Marielle Heller.

This film is also adapted from Rachel Yoder's debut novel. Later, Amy Adams will compete acting with Scoot McNairy.

Nightbitch tells of a wife and housewife who lives on the outskirts of the city with her husband who continues to work. He feels isolated because he only lives with his two-year-old son.

Slowly, he began to feel the oddity that made him turn into a dog and seek help from a group supporting mothers for the situation.

Heller previously directed the film The Diary of a Teenage Girl which earned her the Independent Spirit Award. He was announced as the first director of this film in 2022.

Rachel Yoder's book is memorable. I haven't felt like this about a book in a long time since I read The Diary of a Teenage Girl a year ago. Rachel's very funny story about her role as a mother and her anger makes me feel cared for," Marielle Heller quoted Variety as saying.

"And adapting it to Amy Adams' thoughts has become something that keeps me going through this pandemic," he continued.

Amy Adams was last seen in the film Dischanted which was released in 2022. Besides Nightbitch, he also starred in the film directed by Taika Waititi, Klara and the Sun with Jenna Ortega.

The film Nightbitch is planned to hit theaters on December 6.
