After Poor Things, Emma Stone And Yorgos Lanthimos Prepare New Films

JAKARTA - The success of the film Poor Things is not the end of the collaboration between Emma Stone and director Yoorgos Lanthimos. Both are confirmed to collaborate in a new film entitled Kinds of Kindness.

Produced by Searchlight, they announced a list of Kinds of Kindness film players. Apart from Emma Stone, this film will be played again by co-stars in the film Poor Things, namely Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley.

The film is also played by Joe Alwyn, Jesse Plemons, Hong Chau, Hunter Schafer, and Mamoudou Atthieu. The film has an anthology story format with a still undisclosed plot.

Kinds of Kindness was written by Lanthimos with Ethimis Filippou who worked on The Lobster, Killing of a Sacred Deer and Dogtooth.

Kinds of Kindness is Stone and Lanthimos' fifth collaboration who just met through Poor Things. Emma Stone received the Best Actress award at the Academy Awards 2024.

Previously they had worked together in the film The Favorite and the short film Bleat.

In addition, Emma Stone and Yoorgos Lanthimos are also discussing the adaptation of Korean films, Save the Green Planet, which will be their sixth collaboration.

Meanwhile, the film Kinds of Kindness will hit theaters on June 21, 2024.
