Producer Opens Voice After Vina Film Poster: Before 7 Days Criticized By Warganet

JAKARTA - Vina's film: Before 7 days, which began to promote, drew criticism from the public regarding its first poster. Thursday, February 15, the production house launched a poster of the horror film which became a topic of conversation.

Poster Vina: Before 7 Days sparked a stern warning showing the injured hands after being run over by a vehicle on the road. The poster does not display anyone's character but its release has drawn strong criticism from the public.

Dheeraj Kalwani as the producer learned about the response given by the public after the poster circulated. He explained that Vina's story was already licensed by Vina's own family.

From the production design, we have thought about the details of the scenario, filming, and promos. From the start, this film has received the blessing of the Vina family. The depictions we showed also come from family stories," said Dheeraj Kalwani.

The poster that was shared was a teaser poster so that the poster was not the main poster (final poster) for this film. However, Dheeraj said that the visuals in this film were made so that the audience would later be able to sympathize with Vina.

If the teaser poster photo is considered too scary, the facts that actually happen are much more terrible. We visualize that viewers can feel what Vina feels," he continued.

He also denied that both material and film were made to promote violence. Vina's story, which is a real event, is expected to serve as a reminder so that nothing like this happens in the future.

"But if anyone thinks we are glorifying our concerns, the answer is no. I'm here to convey a very strong message, there is moral value and there is learning for all of us," he said.

"Because from the start our intention was to make the film VINA: Before 7 Days is so that there are no more victims of motorcycle gangs like Vina. All of this can be conveyed if the audience has seen the film in its entirety," hoped Dheeraj.
