This drama set in the Tang dynasty tells the story of Ji Ying Ying, a woman from Huanhua in Yuzhou and Zhao Xiu Yuan from a brokat family in Yizhou. They have been close friends since childhood.

However, due to family pressure, Zhao Xiu Yuan could only marry Niu Wu Niang, the son of Niu's family. Ji Ying Ying meets Yang Jing Yuan who is the third child of the Jin Wang family.

Yang Jing Yuan fell in love at first sight, but Ji Ying Ying was unhappy with Yang Jing Yuan. Slowly, they began to make good friends as their feelings got warm.

On the other hand, the prince of the Nanzhao Kingdom visited Yizhou. This prince saw Ji Ying Ying's abilities. They saw Ji's family experiencing a crisis so the Prince attacked Yizhou and took Ji Ying Ying.

Seeing this, Yang Jing Yuan led the war to guard its land and fight against its enemy and the person who brought Ji Ying Ying.
