SEMARANG - The police are still investigating the cause of the death of a Semarang Police Academy (Akpol) cadet with the initials AMM who was found injured in the education institution complex.
Head of Public Relations of Central Java Police, Kombes Yuliyanto, confirmed the incident that occurred on Thursday (30/7) evening.
"He was found in a wounded condition, he was rushed to the hospital, but he was not helped," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
According to Yuliyanto, the body of the cadet from the West Papua Police's dispatch area was buried at the Bhayangkara Semarang Hospital before being handed over to the family.
He said the family had received notification of the incident and considered it a disaster.
Based on information received by the police, the body will be repatriated to Makassar.
Yuliyanto added that officers had inspected the location of the incident and asked for information from a number of parties who first knew about the incident.
He emphasized that until now investigators were still investigating the cause of death and could not give a conclusion regarding the incident.
AMM was previously scheduled to participate in integration training in Magelang with cadets from the Military Academy and the Air Force Academy.
