10 Years Released, EXO's Song The First Snow Wins First Place On Melon

JAKARTA - K-pop group EXO proved their work was timeless. 10 years after its release, the song The First Snow reached its first position on Melon's Top 100 chart.

Tuesday, December 19, EXO's song officially reached first place on the Top 100 Melon. Every year in December, this song always goes to digital and international music charts, but for the first time this song has moved up to Top 10 this year.

This song is one of the songs from their mini album, Miracles in December in 2013. This song went viral again after one of TikTok users made a Bed-up version of the song while dancing.

EXO members also know the virality of this song so they start to dance songs and follow trends. They also thanked their fans called EXO-L for their support for this song.

Starting from Lay, who danced this song while in Malaysia. Then, Sehun, who uploaded his video dancing on his personal Instagram. The video has been watched up to 29 million views since its release on December 17.

On the same day, Suho, Baekhyun, Xiumin, Chen, and Chanyeol also uploaded a video of them dancing to The First Snow. Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin danced in one video while Chanyeol made him with his pet dog.

'First Snow Challenge! Eris, you guys have been waiting for him for a long time,' Baekhyun wrote in his video caption. He also included a number of hashtags containing 'Sorry I'm late', 'I miss you guys', 'Fanmeeting EXO next year, solo concerts', 'Tomorrow it's going to be cold, wear warm clothes'

"ExO-L are you okay, right? Let's spend the year warmly," wrote Suho in the video caption.

The song The First Snow tells the story of a person's longing for his ex-lover. He imagines if he meets the person, he can greet him and wish him a Merry Christmas as usual.
