Park Seo Joon Struggles To Film Gyeongseong Create: Water Disired On The First Day

JAKARTA - Park Seo Joon tells of his struggle to act in the latest Netflix series, Gyeongseong Create. He plays Jang Tae Sang, a wealthy man in Bukcheon who catches the eye at Gyeongseong.

Before he became a master, he went through many challenges with that experience. I try to focus on the background of the story and (Jang Tae Sang) is a person with lots of stories," said Park Seo Joon at Gyeongseong Create's online press conference today, Tuesday, December 19.

A number of teasers and posters show Park Seo Joon looking elegant with various colors of his suit. Behind that, Park Seo Joon remembers his struggle as Jang Tae Sang since the first day.

He had to do a scene doused with cold water when he stroked it, as seen in the trailer. Park Seo Joon said the struggle was very memorable to date.

"Scene was the first time I was tortured and I was cold. I was doused with water until it got wet. Was I being tortured?" said Park Seo Joon jokingly.

"Then I thought 'Ah, is this your way of welcoming me on the set?' It was difficult, but filming the first scene made me more anticipated," he said again.

Gyeongseong Create, directed by Jung Dong Yoon, tells the story of a monster mystery that grows from human extinction. Hearing the plot also made Park Seo Joon confused.

"When I was cast as the main character, I was worried. Because I thought what kind of monster and set would be like. But when I filmed several scenes, I also felt the director and crew were very ready," said Seo Joon.

"Then they told me what the results would be like, so it helped me concentrate. I think it's tremendous stress but it's part of the process and the fight against time," said Park Seo Joon.

Gyeongseong Create has a background in 1045 at the Ongseong hospital in the city of Gyeongseong. The story focuses on Jang Tae Sang (Park Seo Joon) and Yoon Chae Ok (Han So Hee) who survive monsters born of human greed.

Jang Tae Sang is the owner of the House of Golden pawn house and the richest person in Gyeongseong. Yoon Chae Ok is a trace seeker with a brilliant reputation. Both will save the world on a mysterious journey.

Gyeongseong Create's first part will be released on December 22 via Netflix.
