BamBam Said Young K Almost Debuted With GOT7

JAKARTA - BamBam revealed one of the stories behind Young K's career before debuting as a member of the band DAY6. Apparently, Young K was directed to debut with GOT7, JYP Entertainment's K-pop group.

This was shared by BamBam when Young K was a guest on his latest event. They shared their experiences together before BamBam and GOT7 members did not continue with JYP Entertainment.

"Guys, I've said this before, but you know I'm not part of the first GOT7 pre-debut team, right? Let me tell you something that will surprise you," said BamBam.

"Young K was part of GOT7 before me," he said.

After going through several stages, in the end, Young K was moved from GOT7 to DAY6. Both groups have different concepts where GOT7 is an idol group while DAY6 is a band.

"Young K is like them, but he was transferred from GOT7 to DAY6," explained BamBam.

"And another surprising fact is that he holds the rapper position in the pre-dept GOT7 team. He might be able to debut as GOT7," he said again.

Young K admitted that he wanted to leave during his training period, but he found love for music and the process of making it.

"Even after my debut, I felt this career wasn't for me, but I started enjoying making music and performing," said Young K.

Apart from Young K, it is known that actor Ahn Hyo Seop has also been a trainee to debut with GOT7. However, because the height was deemed inappropriate, he canceled being part of the group.

Young K is busy with promoting his newest song after completing his military service last April. Meanwhile, BamBam is on his first tour in several Asian countries.
