JAKARTA - The film Budi Pekerti has held a world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 9, 2023. This event was attended by director Wregas Bhanuteja, executive producer Iman Usman, film producer Adi Ekatama, Ridla An-Nuur, and Nurita Anandia. The cast members who attended were Sha Ine Febriyanti, Angga Yunanda, Prilly Latuconsina, and Dwi Sasono.

Unexpectedly, the appreciation given by more than 200 viewers was extraordinary. As a director, Wregas expressed his gratitude for the holding of the world premiere of Budi Pekerti's film at TIFF 2023. Set in Yogyakarta during the pandemic, the film Budi Pekerti tells the story of Mrs. Prani, a BK teacher whose video of a dispute with market visitors has gone viral on social media. As a result of his actions which were deemed not to reflect a teacher's personality, he and his family got bullied, looked for other mistakes to the point of losing their jobs.
