JAKARTA - The privacy of NCT members is suspected of having problems due to sasaeng. The term sasaeng is addressed to people who participate in the personal activities of an artist outside of activities as a public figure.

On August 21, NCT fans were surprised by the post of a sasaeng who recorded the contents of the room where NCT 127 members stayed in October 2022. At that time, NCT 127 was on a tour of the United States and staying at a hotel.

After reporting the sasaeng post, SM Entertainment officially took legal action due to the privacy invasion carried out by sasaeng.

The leaked video is an illegal act and violates the artist's privacy. We are gathering evidence related to the first uploader and all those who spread the video," SM Entertainment said today, Tuesday, August 22.

"We will ask for cooperation on domestic and international sites as well as legal firms to carry out a thorough investigation carried out by law enforcement agencies," they said again.

This is not the first time the privacy of NCT members has been disrupted because of sasaeng. In March, SM Entertainment revealed that in November 2022, a sasaeng came to Haechan's family home.

Haechan, who still lives with his family, was disturbed and this case was brought to court. However, Haechan withdrew the report because he did not want the person to be tried.

NCT leader, Taeyong also experienced the same thing where someone contacted him and pretended to be a postman who wanted to send a package.
