Production House Says There Are No Plans For The Succesion Series Spin-off

JAKARTA - The new Succession series ended with the last episode of the fourth season on Monday, May 29. Various questions about the development of this series began to roll out including the spin-off plan.

Fransesca Orsi as HBO stated that there was no plan to develop Succesion in a spin-off format. He revealed this through the latest interview as the Succession series aired.

"I know there was a discussion about the spin-off but no, nothing at all," Fransesca Orsi quoted Deadline as saying.

"I don't want to say surrender but instincts and based on conversations about Succession and this character, at this point, there is no intention of playing any character," he continued.

On the other hand, Orsi returned the plan to Jesse Armstrong as the serial creator. He suspected Armstrong would make a new series instead of focusing on Succesion.

This will be an original work. Whether it's based on IP or not, I'm not sure, but it's going to be a new show, a completely new idea," he said.

This answer was given a month after Fisher Totaling, one of the Succession actors revealed that he was writing a spin-off script focused on his character, Hugo Baker. His character is executive in fictional company Waystar RoyCo in the second, third and fourth seasons.

On the other hand, other Succession players actually wrote goodbye after the fourth season ended. Brian Cox and Sarah Snook compactly uploaded a post on Instagram on the same day.

"Now we are over. And in my career, the best work, the harmony between the crew and the players is extraordinary," wrote Brian Cox.

"It's hard to express how meaningful this series means to me. Where I go, the talents where I can work together... it feels sad this is all over," wrote Sarah Snook.

The Succession series tells the story of the Logan family who dominates companies and the entertainment industry in the world which is tenuous after their father resigned from the board of directors.
