Joe Taslim's First Look As Sub-Zero In The Latest Mortal Kombat

JAKARTA - Joe Taslim's first appearance as Sub-Zero in the Mortal Kombat film project was released. Apart from Joe Taslim, the first release for Entertainment Weekly also saw the first looks of other characters, such as Lio Kang and Jax.

The game adaptation film will feature intense battles and scenes full of blood. The film's director, Simon McQuoid, explained that there are many meanings in the battle scenes and blood.

"Blood represents family. Blood symbolizes relationships. Blood represents who we are," Simon said, quoted Saturday, January 16.

Regarding Joe Taslim, the first appearance of the Sub-Zero character shows the ninja stabbing his opponent with a kunai. In addition to that photo, there is another image that shows a close-up of Sub-Zero's head and eyes.

As additional information, kunai is a weapon that is identical to the Scorpion character. In Mortal Kombat, Scorpion is played by Japanese actor, Hiroyuki Sanada.

Sanada was previously involved in the film The Wolverine. He also starred in the film The Twilight Samurai.

"We did a little research and kunai was actually a garden tool in ancient Japan. So one of the earliest shots in this film is the kunai knife used as a garden tool by the wife of Hanzo (Scorpion)," p Simon McQuoid.
