SHINee's Taemin Writes A Letter To Fans After Finishing Military Service

JAKARTA - SHINee's Taemin wrote a letter to his fans after completing his mandatory military service on Tuesday, April 4. He uploaded his writing through the SM fan community and sent the writing to SHINee World (SHINee group fan name).

"Hello, this is Taemin. This is a time that can be seen as a very long or very short time. Even though it seems like a precious time for me to look back on myself, I realize that I am very grateful and happy for the time I spent," Taemin wrote.

"I miss you guys even saying "I miss you guys" is not enough and I believe everyone believes and waits for me to feel the same way as me," he said.

Taemin said this made him more mature. He also thanked this experience for making him a mature person.

“I will repay you with a grateful heart for the rest of my life and continue on my way,” said Taemin.

“I will always be a part of your happiness!!” closed Taemin.

Taemin is enlisted as a member of the military in June 2021. Then in 2022, SM Entertainment announced that the youngest member of SHINee will be transferred to the public service division until it is finished.

Taemin was said to have experienced depression and anxiety before enlistment, but his condition worsened while serving in the camp. On the other hand, the agency said Taemin was determined to complete his obligations.

The day after being discharged from military service, Taemin also held a fan meeting titled RE: ACT for two days, April 22 and 23. He was confirmed to be preparing SHINee's latest album with Onew, Minho, and Key.
