"I was raised from a couple of great professional traditional dancers and a talented musician who taught me everything about music," Shakira Jasmine said in a written release received, Wednesday, January 18.

This is felt to be the biggest supporting factor for producing each piece of work. “I am always grateful for these blessings and talents. But on the other hand, the power of prayer from parents with art backgrounds is my biggest driving force. The memory is still well recorded when my late father used to play songs from Utada Hikaru, Coldplay to Queen in the living room of our house," she said.

Shakira's journey in the world of music has not always been smooth. Before becoming widely known through her works, she had auditioned for singing talent contests up to the national level. According to her, this experience was one of the toughest moments, because at the same time she had to lose her father forever.

However, all the processes that go through still try to be grateful. Shakira feels that her current position is inseparable from all the processes she has gone through.

“Now I am very grateful for the many activities that I can do as the best place for me to learn. From starting to play in movies, being a presenter, writing songs, producing my own music, being a nutrition student, and many more," she concluded.
