JAKARTA - Cynthia Lamusu is back with some exciting news in the second month of 2022. On February 22, she just released her latest single, Move It after releasing the song Tawakal in 2020.

Apart from music, Cynthia Lamusu has also become a topic of conversation after successfully implementing a healthy lifestyle. Her success in losing weight up to 22 kg in a span of five months is an inspiring story.

Those two things were combined by Surya Saputra's wife into the music, assisted by Kenny Gabriel in the producer position and Kyriz Boogieman in the rap section. Cynthia Lamusu also shared a healthy lifestyle that has changed her over the past five months.

Move It is my first solo pop single after 24 years. So 24 years ago, the last time I released a solo song, I continued my career with ABThree. 2020 had time to release the religious song, but the pop genre one is Move It," said Cynthia Lamusu, starting the conversation.

It took a long time for Cynthia Lamusu to produce a new single. In fact, she admits that she has a lot of stock of old songs that have not been released publicly.

"I'm honestly a moody person. It's my turn to have an idea, want it to be realized. This is the mood again, then I have a new spirit that I want to share which is related to a healthy lifestyle for 5 months," explained Cynthia.

Move It is a disco genre song with lyrics that contain enthusiasm and motivation to get through the day. This song was written and produced by Cynthia Lamusu with Surya Saputra. This disco song was written in 2008 and was only done by Cynthia when she was remembering her music catalog.

"I made this song stored for a long time and because I do sports while listening to 80's songs, I keep remembering 'Oh yes, I have disco songs like this' and then talk to Winky Wiriawan, we brainstorm and he introduces me to Kenny Gabriel who then makes Move It music,” she explained.

Even though she hasn't made music for a long time, Cynthia Lamusu doesn't feel there is a new challenge in working on Move It. She was assisted by a series of great people who realized her desire to make a song according to her wishes.

"I'm very happy at this moment of happiness and celebration for myself, so I pour it out through singles. It's been the last 4 years since I released a children's song, then suddenly I got an idea, just make another solo single,” she explained.

Healthy lifestyles

If you are a follower of Cynthia Lamusu's Instagram account, of course, you are no stranger to Cynthia's post about a healthy lifestyle. Starting from the morning exercise routine to the variety of vegetables served in the food.

It all started when she was easily tired compared to her mother. Cynthia also feels that she doesn't really care about her body because she focuses on life as a mother when she welcomes the birth of Tatjana and Bima.

“I've been stuck in a time of being lost. So this is not all women, but mostly when they have children, yes, life is number one for children. It should be ideal that everything can go well but at that time there was a time when I couldn't manage the time so I had to choose priorities until I thought about stopping my career," she said.

Not wanting to waste time, Cynthia Lamusu steadily changed her lifestyle. She did medical check-ups, consulted a nutritionist, and formed an intention to be successful.

"So the most difficult thing is to beat the laziness in ourselves. Why success? Yes, so accompanied by a doctor, I changed my diet, be healthy. I'm gasping for that spirit. It's like driving a car, I don't step on the brakes, but the gas continues. Thank God," said Cynthia Lamusu.

The ABThree personnel also did not escape challenges, most of which came from her husband, Surya Saputra. As the only one with a healthy lifestyle, Cynthia often has to adjust to situations outside the home.

"Surya (Saputra) has a habit while being on set, so at 1 o'clock he was like, "Hon... honey, I want fried noodle" or anything to eat," said Cynthia Lamusu.

Not only losing weight, but Cynthia also felt the effects when she was exposed to COVID-19. She had experienced mild symptoms but was still able to exercise even though she had to be quarantined for several days.

Cynthia Lamusu has a simple method that many people can follow if they want to get significant results like her. One of them began to consider reducing the consumption of foods that are not nutritious.

“Eat it at mealtime and the intention must be strong. I changed my mindset to love myself. Self-love is accepting yourself as you are. In fact, if we love other people or something, we need to take care of it," said Cynthia Lamusu.

In addition, exercise can also be started at home with simple tools. Exercise can be done within 30 minutes every day.

"In fact, people say the goal is successful, don't let your enthusiasm down. The real test is now how we maintain this pattern," said Cynthia Lamusu.

Cynthia Lamusu also tries to appreciate herself, one of which is by summarizing her journey through the song Move It. Not only that, but she is also working on a self-improvement-themed book that contains Cynthia's stories and tips to achieve these goals.

“The book is a self-improvement type because what I share is a healthy lifestyle. What I experienced on Instagram but it's only 50 percent. 100 percent complete in the book," said Cynthia.

Move It is also believed not to be Cynthia Lamusu's only music release this year. She is currently preparing a mini album to fulfill her longing for solo music.
