The Reason Erick Thohir Appointed Ifan Seventeen As President Director Of PFN: A Young Man Who Has Experience As A Film Producer

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Ministry of SOEs, Putri Violla, revealed the reason why the Ministry of SOEs appointed Riefian Fajarsyah alias Ifan Seventeen, the vocalist of the Seventeen band, to be the President Director (Managing Director) of PT Film Negara (PFN).

The reason, said Putri, is that Ifan, who has a career in the music world, also has experience as a film producer. According to Putri, this experience is a consideration in the appointment of Ifan as President Director of PFN.

"Actually, if we look at Ifan's work, it's not just in the music world, because he already has experience being a producer, so he can then become the Board of Directors," said Putri when met at her office, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 12.

Putri also said that in addition to considering the background, the Ministry of SOEs also encourages young leadership in state-owned companies. Ifan himself is a man born March 16, 1983, and is now 41 years old. He is a millennial generation.

"We hope to bring new developments for PFN. What we hope is that there will be young leaders, we will give them the opportunity to become President Directors," he said.

Putri admits that there is a public spotlight on the figure of Ifan, who is a musician who is the leader of a film company. Therefore, she asked the public to provide an opportunity for Ifan to prove his role in PFN.

"Ask for help for all, yes, we'll see later with the creativity, experience, background, what breakthroughs can be made for PFN. We'll just have to wait for proof from Ifan and also other Board of Directors," said Putri.

On the other hand, Putri emphasized that the appointment of the new directors did not change the status of PFN, which is still being entrusted with the management of BUMN Holding, a specialist in the transformation and investment of PT Danareksa (Persero).

"So far, Danareksa is still supporting. This is still everything, later we will see which direction for Ifan to bring PFN," he said.
