JAKARTA - Fashion bazaars are no longer just a place to hunt for clothes at attractive prices. In recent years, this kind of event has evolved into a space for local fashion MSMEs to introduce their works to the public while building direct relationships with consumers.

In addition, the fashion bazaar is also a platform for various brands to show the quality, creativity, and identity they have.

Not only offering a shopping experience, this activity also moves the creative industry ecosystem by bringing together business actors, buyers, and communities in the same space.

This can be seen in the implementation of one of the Glamlocal Mid Year Sale fashion bazaars which was held at the Bandung Trans Convention Center on July 29 to August 2, 2026.

There are 150 local brands from various categories, ranging from fashion, accessories, beauty products, to culinary, take part in activities in collaboration with balé by BTN.

Glamlocal founder, Rizky Azhar, said that the presence of this bazaar is expected to be a space for MSMEs to grow together.

"Today we are proud to present the Glamlocal Mid Year Sale as a platform especially for MSMEs to grow together. We present more than 150 local brands that showcase their best collections," said Rizky in Bandung, West Java, recently.

According to him, the organization of the bazaar is not only oriented towards sales transactions, but also encourages the strengthening of the local business actors ecosystem to be more competitive.

"Not only focusing on the impact of sales and strengthening Indonesian MSMEs, Glamlocal also thanks the Minister of MSMEs. Hopefully this collaboration can continue to encourage the growth and competitiveness of local products," he added.

The fashion bazaar phenomenon also shows a change in consumer behavior, which is now increasingly appreciating domestically produced products.

In addition to being able to see and try products directly, visitors also have the opportunity to interact with business actors so that a more personal shopping experience is created.

Chairman of the Ministry of National Craft Council (Dekranas) and Advisor to the Dharma Wanita Association (DWP) of the Ministry of MSME, Tina Astari, assessed that activities like this are not only a promotional event, but also able to open new opportunities for MSME players.

"Last year I was also present at ICE BSD, Masya Allah this event is extraordinary. Hopefully this event will not only be a fair, but also a platform for creativity, open wider opportunities, and build an ecosystem so that MSMEs can rise in class," said Tina.

He also appreciated the product curation process which was considered capable of presenting various quality options for consumers. According to him, the existence of a consignment or jastiper service provider also helps expand the market reach of local products.

"I am proud of the young people now whose collections are very supportive of women's needs, ranging from fashion, jewelry, skincare, to culinary. The taste is good, and the relationship with the jastiper is very helpful in selling products more widely. Congratulations to Glamlocal which has entered its third year and has held this 29th event. We from the government strongly support that our MSMEs will be more upscale," concluded Tina.

In addition to presenting various promos and discounts, the fashion bazaar is now also designed to be a family-friendly destination. The presence of a children's play area to various supporting activities makes visitors can enjoy a more comfortable shopping experience.

The increasing implementation of fashion bazaars shows that local products are increasingly gaining a place in people's hearts. For MSMEs, activities like this are not only an opportunity to increase sales, but also a stage to expand networks, build customer loyalty, and introduce the quality of the nation's children to a wider market.
