Erick Thohir Plans to Build a Brain and Heart Hospital in Bandarlampung

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thorir plans to establish a brain and heart hospital (RS) in Bandarlampung City, Lampung Province.

"The Mayor of Bandarlampung and I have communicated several times during COVID-19 regarding this, and we agreed that after the pandemic the plan must also be considered," said Erick Thohir in Bandarlampung, quoted from Antara, Sunday, October 17.

He said that the BUMN had built a brain and heart hospital in Makassar which God willing, next year, so he thought why it was not developed in Sumatra.

"Incidentally BUMN is building a brain and heart hospital in Makassar, so we thought why not add this hospital, because the brain and heart hospital in Jakarta also provides support. Now, when we were looking for a place, Lampung shook hands with the mayor who prepared the location," he said.

However, he continued, he would look at the location first before realizing the construction of this brain and heart hospital.

"We just saw the location, the mayor gave us directions, otherwise we don't know. God willing, if we work together, everything will be easy," he said.

Meanwhile, Mayor of Bandarlampung Eva Dwiana thanked the Minister of SOEs for appointing this city as the location of the brain and heart hospital.

"Hopefully, the plan to build a brain and heart hospital will be implemented soon," she said.

Regarding whether the location that will be used as a brain and heart hospital is RSUD A. Dadi Tjokrodipo or there is another place, the Mayor of Bandarlampung has fully submitted it to the Minister of SOEs.

"Later, Mr. Erick will also see which one is right. The important thing is that the sooner the better for the community," she said.

During his visit to Bandarlampung City, Erick Tohir handed over medical equipment assistance by the BUMN Foundation for Indonesia to the local municipal government. In addition, Minister Erick also took the time to review the construction of the building at RSUD A. Dadi Tjokrodipo with the Mayor of Bandarlampung Eva Dwiana.
