JAKARTA - President Director of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Destiawan Soewardjono proposed a State Capital Investment (PMN) of IDR 3 trillion in 2022 to complete two toll roads, namely the Kayuagung-Palembang-Betung and Ciawi-Sukabumi toll roads.

"The Kayu Agung toll road is worth IDR 2.004 trillion and IDR 996 billion for Ciawi", said Destiawan at a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission VI of the House of Representatives (DPR) in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, September 2.

The two toll roads are targeted for completion in March 2023 and July 2024, respectively, and are part of the seven toll roads that Waskita is currently working on in 2021 and 2022.

The seven toll roads are Kayu Agung-Palembang-Betung, Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu targeted for completion in March 2022, Cimanggis-Cibitung in January 2023, and Ciawi-Sukabumi.

Furthermore, the Krian-Legundi-Bunder-Manyar toll road is estimated to be completed in June 2022, Pasuruan-Probolinggo in December 2023, and Pejagan-Pemalang whose construction has been completed.

Destiawan explained that the overall goal of PMN in 2022 is to strengthen capital in the context of restructuring as well as additional working capital and investment for the completion of toll road construction.

He also believes that the PMN granted in 2022 will have many positive impacts on various parties, such as the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT), namely ensuring the availability of funds and launching the credit restructuring process.

Meanwhile for Waskita Group, it is to launch a financial restructuring process and complete PMN in 2021, while for the community the benefits are to provide economic benefits and encourage the economy.
