Good News From Surabaya: 4 Million PLN Customers In East Java Have Received The COVID-19 Stimulus

JAKARTA - As many as four million PLN (State Electricity Company) customers in the East Java region received COVID-19 stimulus assistance, as an effort to support economic recovery due to the pandemic in the local area.

General Manager of East Java PLN UID (Distribution Parent Unit), Adi Priyanto said the data was recorded until April 2021, and in detail, there were 4.032.821 customers.

He said that the details of the program, respectively, are for the minimum account exemption for the social power group with 1.300 VA and over as many as 12.869 customers, 33.213 customers for business groups, 4.524 customers for industrial groups.

Then discounted prices or token discounts and 450 VA power household customer bills were 3.206.858 customers, 450 VA power business customers were 82.784 customers, and 450 VA power industry customers were five customers.

Discounts for tokens and bills from 900 VA household customers, totaling 563.177 customers. Fee exemption from social power group 220.450 and 900 VA as many as 107.388 customers, 900 VA power business customers as many as 21.870 customers, 900 VA power industry customers as many as 133 customers.

"This program is to support economic improvement starting from the electricity tariff adjustment policy, the extension of the stimulus program, the electrifying agriculture program, SPKLU (General Electric Vehicle Charging Station), SPLU (General electricity supply station), the use of induction stoves, the ease of getting electricity, to improving services through the PLN Mobile application and the 123 Contact Center", Adi said, quoted from Antara, Thursday, May 6.

He said, the East Java PLN UID also continues to strive to encourage the revival of the economy with various other programs, such as intensifying the electrifying agriculture program, which until March 2021 has been recorded as having supplied 7.110 customers in the agricultural, plantation, fishery, livestock sector to processing agricultural products with a total connected power of 27 93 MVA.

Meanwhile, the projected addition of the agricultural sector in 2021 is 2.153 customers with a power of 24.78 MVA.

"Not only that, but we also have banking cooperation to provide facilities and ease of business development for customers who take advantage of the Electrifying Agriculture program", he said.

The East Java PLN UID has also created a climate for electric vehicles by preparing facilities in the form of 3 SPKLU units in Surabaya and Ponorogo and having 112 SPLU points throughout East Java.

"In 2021, the East Java PLN UID plans to provide 2 SPBKLU (Public Electric Vehicle Battery Exchange Stations). This will certainly provide convenience and stimulus for electric car users", he said.

It is recorded that until May 2021, the PLN provides 5 excellent programs that make it easy for people to increase their electricity, starting from Super Electriclife, Super Savings for MSMEs, Super Electrilife Light, Ramadhan Blessing, and Ramadan Caring.

"The program collaborates with online and offline market places throughout Indonesia", he said.

Meanwhile, the Super Electrilife and Super Electrilife Light programs until 3 May 2021 were also attracted by 11.766 customers, and the Ramadan Blessing program attracted 1230 customers and the Ramadhan Caring program with 298 customers.
