Minister Of KKP Trenggono Suspected Pagar Laut Installer In Tangerang Wants Land Reclamation

JAKARTA - Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono suspects that those who install a fence structure in the sea intend to form land sedimentation as a naturally formed reclamation land.

Sakti Wahyu Trenggono continued this suspicion, also considering the existence of a building rights certificate (SHGB) and a title certificate (SHM) issued for the fence structure in the waters around Tangerang, Banten.

"I need to say that on the seabed there should be no certificate. So, (the certificate that covers the sea area, ed.) is clearly illegal. This means that this budgeting is carried out so that the land will increase. The longer it increases, the higher it increases," Trenggono said during a press conference at the Presidential Palace Complex after facing President Prabowo Subianto, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 21.

Trenggono continued that the land area in the middle of the sea that could be formed due to being surrounded by a fence structure could reach 30 hectares.

"So, later if something like that happens, land will happen, and the amount will be very large. Earlier, I reported it to the President, from the 30 hectares, about 30,000 hectares happened," said Trenggono.

According to Trenggono, the amount of land that may have been formed due to the natural reclamation process is quite large, and what needs to be watched out for is that the land may have been certified.

"Below it, it turns out that according to the identification of the Minister of ATR/BPN there is a certificate, on whose behalf, on whose behalf, friends can check it themselves," the Minister of Marine Affairs told reporters.

However, for now, the certificate referring to the seabed is invalid, because everything in the sea space must have a permit from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP). One of the permits referred to by Trenggono is related to the Compliance of Marine Spatial Utilization Activities (KKPRL).

"Activities in the sea room are not allowed (fortunately, ed), there must be a permit. On the coast to the sea it is not allowed. There must be a permit," said the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries during a press conference.

Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono met President Prabowo at the Jakarta Presidential Palace Complex on Monday afternoon. After that, he held a press conference to convey the points of his meeting with the President.
