End Of Year, Waskita Karya Wins New Contract Of IDR 109.6 Billion

JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk again won a new contract worth Rp109.6 billion at the end of this year. The contract is in the form of the construction of the Land Development for the Central Government of the New Autonomy of South Papua.

Director of Operations I Waskita Karya Ari Asmoko explained that the project, located in Merauke Regency, South Papua, will be completed for 240 calendar days. While the maintenance time is 180 days.

"The construction of this project aims to prepare land for the construction of the South Papua New Autonomous Region Government Center. So we will ensure that the land is ready to be built," he said in an official statement, Monday, December 30.

Ari explained that the scope of the Company's work includes preparation, preparation of completeness of the Construction Safety Management System (SMKK), land work, and construction of the Clean Water Network Multi Utility Tunnel (MUT).

Meanwhile, continued Ari, preparatory work includes making site management, work barracks, warehouses, providing electricity, and working water.

"We also made implementation work plans consisting of document understanding, construction safety management system, and coordination pathways. There is also a licensing and implementation strategy, work critical track, and project management system," explained Ari.

In working on this project, he continued, the Company ensures the application of the basic principles of the construction process. This principle includes appropriate vocational schools, time, administrative costs, as well as benefits.

"As a Construction BUMN that has been experienced for almost 64 years working on various infrastructure projects, we are committed to continuing to innovate in working on projects. One of them is implementing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) concept in the Land Development Development of the South Papua New Autonomy Government Center," he said.

Ari said the benefits of WBS include making work more systematic and efficient. Then as mitigation to overcome delays.

"Next, the priority of work can be mitigated at the beginning. Then the fulfillment of appropriate vocational schools, quality, costs, time, administration, and benefits," he said.

For your information, this project was carried out by Waskita-Pusaka Operations Cooperation (KSO). Waskita Karya previously also received a new contract working on the South Papua Governor's Office Building worth IDR 215 billion.
