Bahlil Messages No Director General Of 'Bayangan' At The Directorate General Of Mineral And Coal

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia firmly requested that there be no'shadow' Director General (Dirjen) at the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal (Minerba) after he officially inaugurated Tri Winarno as Director General of Mineral and Coal.

Bahlil asked Tri Winarno to take a firm stance while leading the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal because he was the highest leader at the level of the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal.

"There should be no small commanders, there should be no Director General-Dirjen Minerba shadowing, the Director General of Mineral and Coal in Indonesia is only you!" Bahlil said in his remarks at the time of Tri Winarno's inauguration as Director General of Mineral and Coal, Friday, September 20.

Not only that, but Bahlil also asked the officials of the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal to submit to Tri Winarno as Director General, instead of to entrepreneurs.

"To friends of director officials, loyal to the director general! Not to third parties or businessmen. I know that!" Bahlil said.

On the other hand, Bahlil also asked the newly appointed Director General to abolish Minerba consultants who were considered to be the cause of the problem of the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal, causing the entry of Law Enforcement.

"So immediately order elements or other parties outside the institution on behalf of officials in this institution, that's my direction," he explained.

As a ministry that manages natural wealth, Bahlil conveyed the message of President Joko Widodo and President-elect Prabowo Subianto so that the newly appointed Director General can maintain the rights of the local community.

Bahlil said, when the regions have obtained a Mining Business Permit (IUP), the authority is the right of the Regional Government and is not ridden by certain individuals.

"If that's the case, IUP already has Kalimantan people, Sulawesi, Maluku, then the process is good and correct, no more additional movements from the sky come down," said Bahlil.
