Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Arsjad Rasjid revealed that a number of individuals were blocked when they were about to hold a press conference at the Kadin Tower, South Jakarta (Jaksel).
The press conference for the management of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the period 2021-2026, which was originally scheduled to take place at the Kadin Tower, was finally moved to the JS Luwansa Hotel, Jakarta.
"Previously we planned to hold a press conference on the 3rd floor of the Kadin Building. It is a shame that the legal management of the Kadin 2021-2016. We were prevented from entering by individuals who had no interest in the sustainability agenda of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. I am sure that my friends are waiting for a statement from us on the dynamics to occur," Arsjad at a press conference at the JS Luwansa Hotel, Jakarta, Sunday, September 15.
Arsjad emphasized that the 2024 Kadin Munaslub activity which was held in St Regis, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, was illegal. According to him, there was an attempt to take over the management of Kadin by violating the applicable rules.
According to Arsjad, this action strongly violates the applicable Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART) regulations and contradicts the legal basis governing the existence of Kadin as the only legitimate business organization in Indonesia.
"According to existing regulations, we did not acknowledge the occurrence of the Munaslub last Saturday," he said.
