KPK Investigate Allegations Of ASDP Corruption, Management: We Are Ready To Provide Necessary Data And Information

JAKARTA - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) will be cooperative with the investigation carried out by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) related to cases of alleged corruption that have the potential to harm the state Rp1.27 trillion.

ASDP Corporate Secretary, Shelvy Arifin said that his party respects the investigation carried out by the KPK and is committed to working together in the investigation process.

"The company is committed to fully cooperating with the authorities including providing the necessary data or information," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, August 7.

Shelvy emphasized that the company has a strong commitment to good corporate governance (GCG) and always applies the principles of transparency, accountability, and integrity in carrying out all operational and financial activities.

Furthermore, Shelvy also asked all parties not to assume and spread false information related to the investigation.

"All parties should wait for the completion of the investigation process and we believe the KPK will work objectively in handling this," he explained.

Shelvy also ensured that the company's operations remained normal in line with the investigation carried out by the KPK.

"The company also assured all service users that the company's operations are still running as they should," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Ferry Indonesia (Persero) had the potential to harm state finances. The value is said to have reached trillions of rupiah.

"The potential loss to the country is around Rp1.27 trillion at least (in the corruption case of the business cooperation and acquisition process of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry 2019-2022, ed)," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika to VOI, Monday, August 5 evening.

Meanwhile, a VOI source said this state loss arose because the acquisition process of PT Jembatan Nusantara was not in accordance with the rules.

Reporting from a number of reports, PT ASDP purchased PT Jembatan Nusantara in February 2022 with a value of IDR 1.3 trillion.
