JAKARTA - Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita is preparing a roadmap or roadmap for 10 sub-sectors of industrial services.

Minister of Industry Agus said that this is being carried out by the Standardization and Industrial Services Policy Agency (BSKJI) of the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) which aims to provide guidelines in the implementation of industrial services coaching, both in the short, medium and long term.

"Currently, the Ministry of Industry through BSKJI is preparing a roadmap for the development of industrial services on 10 priority sub-sectors as mandated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 74 of 2022," Agus said in his remarks at the Opening of the 2024 Industrial Services Exhibition and Seminar at the Ministry of Industry Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 23.

The 10 industrial service sub-sectors include Industrial Design and Construction Services, Installation Services and Industrial Equipment Commising, Research Services, Engineering and Industrial Design, Industrial Process Services and Maintenance and Reparations Services.

Then, Consulting Services for Industrial Management, Logistics Services and Industrial Distribution, Certification Services, Testing, Inspection and Calibration as well as Employment Services and Industrial Supporting Services 4.0.

"Of course this is an opportunity for stakeholders to be able to participate in providing their views and positions in supporting the preparation of the roadmap," he said.

In addition, Agus said, his party is also preparing norms, standards, procedures and criteria (NSPK) for industrial services.

This step is taken to encourage the development of industrial services, accompanied by facilitation and assistance in the development of industrial services, development of partnerships between industry service players and the manufacturing industry as well as other sectors, increasing competitiveness through transfer of knowledge between stakeholders of industrial services as well as encouraging opportunities and cooperation in industrial services on a national, regional and global scale.

Furthermore, Agus also revealed seven targets for the industrial service development program as stated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 74 of 2022, including the availability of classification of industrial service activities, the involvement of industrial service contributions in the National GDP, the construction of recommendations for development policies for priority industrial services.

Then, the increasing infrastructure supporting industrial services, increasing the ability of domestic industrial services to support the industrial sector, increasing the competence of human resources for domestic industrial services and increasing the role of industrial services at the global level.

"Currently, the Ministry of Industry has a capacity of 520 five-digit KBLIs, of which 71 KBLIs are 5 digits, including in the scope of industrial services. I hope and want that all targets of this industrial service development program can both accelerate their achievements," added Agus.
