Imam said that the increase in this visit was mainly recorded at the airport gates of Ngurah Rai (Bali) and Soekarno-Hatta (Banten), an increase of 27.74 percent and 35.53 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, the number of visits through the main entrance is dominated by foreign tourists with air transportation modes which contribute 84.61 percent, while foreign tourists with sea and land transportation modes are only 12.95 percent and 2.43 percent, respectively.

According to Imam, the number of foreign tourist visits until May 2024 is the highest in the last four years or since 2020.

Furthermore, Imam said that in May 2024, the most foreign tourist visits came from Malaysia, reaching 200.1 thousand visits, followed by Australia with 137.2 thousand visits, and Singapore with 111 thousand visits.
