Bank DKI Supports Transjakarta Environmental Friendly Transportation Financing

JAKARTA - As a form of support in realizing environmentally friendly and sustainable Jakarta transportation in Jakarta, Bank DKI supports Transjakarta operator partners in terms of a large, medium, and electric bus bus bus bus financing scheme.

The synergy is contained in the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Director of Technology and Operations as well as the Acting Director (Plt.) of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono and President Director of PT Transport Jakarta, Welfizon Yuza in Jakarta, Thursday 13 June.

According to Amirul, this DKI Bank support is a manifestation of the synergy of BUMD as a form of contribution in supporting the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government program.

"Bank DKI supports the Transjakarta Ecosystem through the provision of comfortable, integrated transportation, and plays a role in encouraging sustainable development and environment in the City of Jakarta," Amirul said in his statement, quoted on Friday, June 14.

Furthermore, Amirul said that in the future, Bank DKI will disburse investment loans for the procurement of special operator buses with specifications for large, medium, and electric buses under the auspices of Transjakarta.

"We hope that the synergy will bring safe, comfortable, modern public transportation to support Jakarta's big agenda as Global City," said Amirul.

Also involved in signing the Memorandum of Understanding was PT Allied Molindo Indonesia, which is one of the companies providing electric buses.

In line with this, the President Director of PT Transjakarta, Welfizon Yuza expressed his appreciation to Bank DKI and Multi Infrastructure Facilities as financing institutions, PT Allied Molindo Indonesia and operator partners for the established collaboration.

"Hopefully, this collaboration can be present as a catalyst for the electrification process of the Transjakarta service fleet and contribute significantly in realizing the net zero emissions target of Jakarta and Indonesia," said Welfizon in his remarks.

In addition to taking a role in providing bus procurement financing facilities for Transjakarta operator partners, Bank DKI through synergy with Transjakarta, realizing a non-cash transaction system for Transjakarta travel tickets, namely through the Electronic Money Card (JakCard), which is also part of the digital banking service solution from Bank DKI for public transportation needs in Jakarta.

In addition to being used as Transjakarta tickets, as well as JakLingko, the public can use JakCard for transportation ticket needs such as KRL Commuter Line, MRT Jakarta, Jakarta LRT, to Jabodebek LRT. JakCard - Jakarta Tourist Pass can also be used for payment of entrance tickets at a number of tourist attractions, such as Ragunan Wildlife Park, National Monument (Monas), Jakarta History Museum (Museum Fatahillah), Museum of Inscription, MH Thamrin Museum, Museum of Arts and Ceramics, Wayang Museum, Textile Museum, Maritime Museum, Pitung House Site, Thamrin 10, and several swimming pools managed by Dispora.

Purchases of JakCard can also be made in all branch offices of Bank DKI, as well as through the 'JakCard Store' at the Tokopedia e-commerce.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi added, Bank DKI's commitment to realizing a sustainable Jakarta City was also implemented in providing credit for ownership of electric motorized vehicles by cooperating with car dealers and electric motorbikes as partners.
