InJourney Invites The Community To Enliven The Peak Of Vesak 2024 At Borobudur Temple

JAKARTA - The BUMN holding in the tourism sector, InJourney invites the public to participate in celebrating the peak of the Vesak 2568 BE celebration and the release of the lanterns at Borobudur Temple on May 23, 2024.

The public can also take part in a series of Waisak events, from the meditation walk to the medang market around Borobudur Temple, which will be held on May 24, 2024.

The series of Vesak 2024 events at Borobudur Temple is open to the public. We hope that the community will get an impressive spiritual experience by watching the 2024 Vesak celebration at Borobudur Temple," said InJourney Tourism Marketing and Program Director Maya Watono in a press release, quoted from Antara, Saturday, May 18.

The celebration of the Tri Suci Vesak Nasional 2568 BE/2024 will be centered at Borobudur Temple, Magelang, Central Java. This year, the Waisak seconds will fall on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 20.52 WIB.

The Vesak peak event was opened with the Waisak Kirana event from the Mendut Temple to Borobudur Temple, the commemoration of Waisak seconds, the Borobudur Temple pradaksina, and the release of the lanterns.

To take part in the series of Vesak 2024 celebrations, people only need to buy entrance tickets to Borobudur Temple, and must follow applicable regulations.

People who wish to attend the Vesak peak procession on Thursday, May 23, 2024, must comply with regulations, including not bringing food and drinks from outside to the areas where the lanterns are released, not smoking, flying drones without permission, and taking photos too close and without permission to worship Bhikkhu.

The people present were asked to wear polite and white clothes and maintain calm during the Vesak procession.

At the peak of the Vesak celebration in Borobudur, Borobudur Temple Tourism Park has also adjusted tourist visits. Regular tourists who come on that day will continue to be served since 06.30 WIB.

Tourists can also still make visits to the structure of Borobudur Temple which is opened until session 4 or until 11.30 WIB only.

Meanwhile, restrictions on the time limit for visits to the structure of Borobudur Temple at 13.00 WIB, and restrictions on access to regular visits in the courtyard of Borobudur Temple will be carried out starting at 12.30 WIB.

The entrance for people who want to follow the peak of the 2024 Vesak remains through the 1st gate or tourist entrance. Meanwhile, exit access is directed to the 6th door of the Borobudur TWC.

The service for exchanging Lambion participant tickets was carried out at 10.00 a.m. at 17.00 p.m. local time. The location of this ticket exchange is carried out on the west side of the entrance of regular tourists.

InJourney coordinates with the Magelang Regency Transportation Service, the Magelang Police Traffic Corps and the community will also provide temporary parking spaces around destinations for the people and the general public who want to take part in the peak of the Vesak event.

The main locations for parking vehicles are directed to four areas, namely in Janan Hamlet, Ngaran Hamlet, Svargabumi, and the Muhammadiyah Borobudur field with an estimate that they can accommodate nearly 1,000 two-wheeled, four-wheeled, and six-wheeled vehicles.
