Coordinating Minister AHY Wants The Community To Have A Decent And Healthy Residential

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) wants Indonesians to have decent and healthy housing so that they are of higher quality of life.

"Because in the end we want all Indonesian people to have decent houses, to be able to live well, healthy, their families too, and in the end, their quality of life will be more," AHY said in his statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 26.

According to him, the 3 Million House Program is a joint struggle to build a house for the people so that it requires synergy and collaboration from all parties.

"Yes, of course this is a joint struggle because it builds housing, let alone building residential areas, it does require synergy and collaboration. And I really appreciate the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait. really shows that spirit," he said.

Collaboration is also needed in providing land for the construction of people's houses as well as housing financing that relieves the community.

"We also want to continue to collaborate because building an area initially with land, land is there or not. Then of course with various policies that reduce development costs, including when it really relieves our society. That is the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and was executed very well by the Minister of PKP," said AHY.

He also said that efforts to build a house for the people are a struggle that must be achieved with the spirit of togetherness and mutual cooperation from all relevant stakeholders.

"Of course we still have a long way to go, the targets achieved are also extraordinary. But God willing, with this spirit of togetherness, not only the government but also the business world, including philanthropism which we hope can also contribute well," he said.

For information, the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait, believes that three million houses for the people can be built in collaboration with various parties, ranging from across ministries, local governments, to housing developers.

The Ministry of PKP has received a commitment to several housing assistance through the corporate social responsibility program (CSR), such as 250 houses from Agung Sedayu in Tangerang; from Adaro in Berau, East Kalimantan; 250 houses from Astra for the community need, which according to him is a real spirit of mutual cooperation.
