DPR Members Pray For The Minister Of PUPR Again, Basuki Gives This Answer

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono opened his voice regarding the continuation of his position in the upcoming cabinet in the era of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka's leadership.

When asked about his position in the upcoming cabinet, Basuki was reluctant to comment much. According to him, this is not to be discussed.

"If the position is not extended (the discussion)," Basuki told reporters at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 2.

He also emphasized that he had not made any further plans regarding his participation in the next cabinet.

"Not yet, not yet (decided)," he said.

Previously, a member of Commission V DPR RI from the Democratic Faction, Irwan Fecho, prayed for PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono to be included in the next government cabinet. Irwan also appreciated Basuki's performance in leading the PUPR Ministry to build infrastructure throughout the country.

"I really appreciate the Ministry of PUPR in building the nation for 10 years, especially the last 5 years. I pray that Pak Basuki can also continue to contribute to building this nation and entering the next Advanced Indonesia Cabinet," he said in a working meeting with Commission V DPR RI at the Parliament Building Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, April 1.

Not only Irwan, a member of Commission V DPR RI from the Gerindra Mulyadi faction also praised Basuki. After praising Basuki's performance, Mulyadi hoped that IKN would be built on time and on target.

According to Mulyadi, Basuki is a quality Minister of PUPR. Therefore, Mulyadi suggested that there is a campus at IKN that captures his name.

"We hope that at IKN there should be Basuki University, the university infrastructure is suitable, sir, to create construction personnel there, sir. I think that's a proposal at IKN," he added.
