The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of the Ministry of Finance appealed to the public to immediately report Annual Notification (SPT) before the deadline.

"We need to remind you again that the deadline for reporting SPT Annual PPh 2023, so that it is not subject to late sanctions, is March 31, 2024 for taxpayers (WP) for individuals and April 30, 2024 for corporate taxpayers. For this reason, you urge taxpayers to immediately report Annual SPT," said Director of Counseling, Services, and Public Relations of Dwi Astuti in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, March 20.

As of March 18, 2024, the total number of taxpayers who have reported Annual SPT reached 8.71 million, consisting of 8.45 million private SPT and 259.9 thousand SPT bodies.

Of this number, there are still around 10.56 million Annual SPTs that have not been submitted, consisting of 8.76 million individuals and 1.8 million bodies.

DGT has provided a number of options to report SPT electronically, such as through e-filling or e-forms. Even so, DGT still receives SPT reports that are carried out manually.

The limit for submitting Annual SPT for individual taxpayers is March 31, 2024, while for taxpayers, April 30, 2024.

The late annual SPT submission will be subject to administrative sanctions in the form of fines, which are worth Rp. 100,000 for individual taxpayers and Rp. 1 million for corporate taxpayers.

To remind the public to report Annual SPT, DGT will send a blast email to 20 million taxpayers, both private and agency.

Email delivery will be done in stages.

However, Suryo reminded the public to be careful in fraudulent emails. The blast email will be sent via the official email of the Directorate General of Taxes with the domain @pajak.go.id.

Suryo asked the public to be observant and not get caught up in emails that did not come from the Directorate General of Taxes.
