JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that the Pontianak-Kijing Toll Road project in West Kalimantan Province (Kalbar) is already in the study stage.
Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Ministry of PUPR Zainal Fatah said the feasibility study (FS) and Environmental Impact Analysis (Amdal) of the Pontianak-Kijing Toll Road had been worked on by the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT).
"We ensure that FS and Amdal for the Pontianak-Kijing Port toll road are already running," said Zainal Fatah when met after a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission V DPR RI at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Thursday, January 18.
Zainal Fatah said the length of the toll road on the west side of Kalimantan Island would reach around 90 kilometers (km).
"There are already FS around 90 km. If there is already FS, it's just a matter of when it's ready to be auctioned off," he said.
Even so, Zainal Fatah could not reveal when the project would start and also the total budget to be used.
"I don't know the details (about the budget and when the project started)," he added.
Previously, Chairman of Commission V DPR RI Lasarus asked the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) to build toll roads from Pontianak, West Kalimantan, to the State Capital (IKN) Nusantara.
"For a long period of time, yes, we have to make it from east to west, from Pontianak to Balikpapan to IKN. We can build a toll road," said Lasarus when met after a working meeting at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Thursday.
