Not Participating In The Nusantara Consortium, Djarum Group Confirms To Stay Involved In IKN Development

PT Djarum has opened its voice regarding the loss of its company name from the Nusantara Consortium list in the construction of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN).

Djarum Corporate Communications Manager Budi Darmawan said that the companies owned by Robert Budi Hartono and William Katauri had not been members of the Nusantara Consortium from the start.

"Djarum and Wings at IKN were involved in reforestation or botanical activities from the start. So, it was not included in the consortium from the start," he explained.

However, Budi did not specify what Djarum would do in the capital city of the archipelago. "Djarum still has an IKN, but not an investment, but a kind of CSR," he explained.

However, Budi emphasized that his party was still involved in the development of IKN. "In conclusion, we are involved in the development of IKN. So, there is no term leave," he said.

Meanwhile, the Deputy for Funding and Investment of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN), Agung Wicaksono, opened his voice after the Djarum Group and Wings Group were not listed on the Nusantara Consortium list.

He explained that the composition of the consortium is the internal authority of investors who can change from one project to another at IKN as needed.

"It will be adjusted until the final one during the groundbreaking," he explained.

For information, here is a list of projects that will be groundbreaking at IKN in January-February 2024, namely, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), BPJS Kesehatan, PT PLN, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI).

Furthermore, Jambuluwuk Hotel & Resort, RGE Hotel Bintang 5 and Convention Center, Indogrosir, PT Ciputra Development Tbk. (CTRA), PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BBCA), GGS Vivere Group (Showroom Furniture), Sinar Primera (Wary Area), Grand Lucky.

Meanwhile, the Green Project is from the Nusantara Consortium (Agung Sedayu Group, Adaro, Sinarmas, Salim, Astra, Barito Pacific, Pulau Intan, Mulia Group, Kawan Lama, Alfamart) and the Arsari Foundation.
