JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Task Force for the Implementation of State Capital Infrastructure Development (IKN) Nusantara is collaborating with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga to provide fuel oil (BBM) in the construction of IKN Nusantara.

"To ensure that the construction of Phase IKN I can run smoothly, of course, it requires energy support, one of which is fuel oil (BBM) whose needs will continue to grow along with the increasing quantity of development implementation at IKN, both implemented by the government and investment," said Secretary General of the Ministry of PUPR Mohammad Zainal Fatah in a written statement received by VOI, Saturday, November 18.

Zainal Fatah said that currently his party is carrying out the construction of various basic Phase I infrastructures in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN Nusantara with a progress of more than 55 percent.

To ensure the availability of fuel, cooperation with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is very important to facilitate the implementation of basic infrastructure development for IKN according to the set target.

The signing of his cooperation was carried out by the Head of the IKN Nusantara Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force Danis H. Sumadilaga with the Director of Central and Commercial Marketing at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Maya Kusmaya.

"This cooperation agreement will be followed up with technical agreements because those operating in the field are contractors who are paid with the state budget," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the IKN Nusantara Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force, Danis Sumadilaga, said that the need for fuel to support the provision of heavy equipment for IKN infrastructure development is estimated at around 4 million liters per month.

"With this need, of course, it requires supply chain support not only materials and equipment, but also the certainty of fuel for these tools," he said.
