Pelita Air Opens New Jakarta-Banjarmasin Route, Here's The Schedule

JAKARTA - Pelita Air Service (PAS) opens a new Jakarta-Banjarmasin (PP) flight route. This route is the third route served by Pelita Air on the island of Kalimantan. Pelita itself now has nine domestic flight routes.

President Director of Pelita Air, Dendy Kurniawan said this step was an effort to accelerate performance which was also aligned with ongoing support for the recovery of the economic sector.

Dendy said the City of Banjarmasin was chosen as the latest route because it was considered to have attractive market potential, both in terms of potential passenger numbers and significant air travel requests.

In addition, he continued, Banjarmasin City can also be a liaison for the Central and Eastern regions of Indonesia so that it is hoped that flight routes can provide wider services to the community.

Pelita Air's presence in Banjarmasin is of course taking into account the outlook for the performance of flight routes and the growth of passenger demand. The opening of this new route is also a projected optimism for the company which will certainly be further improved," he said, Wednesday, November 1.

Dendy said the Jakarta-Banjarmasin (PP) route water flight was Pelita Air's 9th regular flight.

"An additional route for Banjarmasin will complement the 8 existing routes, namely Bali, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Palembang, Padang, Pekanbaru and Pontianak," he said.

Flight Schedule for the Jakarta-Banjarmasin PP Route

Acting VP Commercial Regular, Ferdian said Pelita Air serves one flight on the two routes every day. As for today Pelita Air serves the inaugural Jakarta-Banjarmasin (PP) flight.

"For Jakarta-Banjarmasin, we are currently one time a day, and daily, we fly," said Ferdian at Syamsudin Noor International Airport, South Kalimantan, Wednesday, November 1.

The Jakarta-Banjarmasin departure schedule is 10.30 WIB and arrives at 13.30 WITA, Banjarmasin-Jakarta 14.10 WITA and arrives 15.15 WIB at a frequency of one time per flight day.

Ferdinand said this route is served using an Airbus A320-200 aircraft with a capacity of 180 economy class seats or Silver Classes.

Furthermore, Ferdian said, the inaugural flight of the Jakarta-Banjarmasin route applies an offset calculation of the carbon footprint produced.

"We Pelita Air support the existence of carbon neutral. Yesterday we also participated in Pelita Air, buying carbon certificates. And we will give the certificate to Pelita Air passengers," he said.
