Until August, State Revenue Of IDR 1,821.9 Trillion Equivalent To 74 Percent Of State Budget Ceiling

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) revealed that state revenues had succeeded in penetrating Rp1,821.9 trillion by the end of August 2023.

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said that this amount was equivalent to 74 percent of the APBN target this year which amounted to Rp2,463 trillion.

"State income grew 3.2 percent year on year (yoy) compared to August 2022," he said through an online channel, Wednesday, September 20.

According to the Minister of Finance, this steady state revenue was supported by tax revenues that had been collected of Rp1,246.9 trillion. It was stated that tax revenues grew 6.4 percent yoy or slowed down from August 2022 which had shot up 58.1 percent.

"The tax revenue from January to August is positive, supported by good economic performance. Meanwhile, growth has slowed from last year due to commodity price corrections and the non-recurrence of the Voluntary Disclosure Program (PPS)," he said.

Then, state revenues were also supported by customs and excise revenues of IDR 171.6 trillion. This figure is down 16.8 percent yoy due to the weakening of CPO prices and the drop in mineral export volume.

Finally, state revenues are also contributed by Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) which has touched Rp402.8 trillion.

"This PNBP has realized 91.3 percent of the APBN target of IDR 441.4 trillion, mainly supported by revenue from the non-oil and gas natural resources sector and separated state assets," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
