Effective From Today, Shell Lowers Fuel Prices: Cheapest To IDR 15,850 Per Liter

JAKARTA - Shell Indonesia has adjusted the selling price of some fuel oil (BBM) products. On its official website, Shell has lowered the selling price of several types of its products.

This price adjustment goes into effect today, Friday 22 April. Meanwhile, the price of Shell Super fuel is now IDR 15,850 per liter, or a decrease of IDR 650 from the previous IDR 16,500 per liter.

Meanwhile, the price of Shell V-Power also fell to IDR 16,750 per liter from the previous IDR 17,500 per liter. Not only that, but the price of Shell V-power Nitro+ has also dropped from IDR 18,040 to IDR 17,750 per liter

This price reduction does not apply to the price of Shell V-Power Diesel fuel which is still priced at IDR 18,100 per liter.

Shell Indonesia VP External Relations, Susi Hutapea, said the new prices were valid for DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, East Java, and North Sumatra. With this price reduction, it is noted that Shell has adjusted its fuel price 3 times, namely on April 2 and 4, Shell has adjusted by increasing the price of fuel.

"Shell makes price adjustments from time to time taking into account various factors which include refined petroleum product prices based on the Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS), market conditions and volatility, foreign exchange rates, government taxes and customs, distribution and operational costs, company performance and ongoing promotional activities", she told VOI, Friday, April 22.

She continued, with the current Eid homecoming momentum, Shell has made price adjustments so that more customers can enjoy our quality fuel products on their way to their hometowns.

"We can say that the price adjustments that we make are still in line with the applicable government regulations regarding the selling price of fuel", she concluded.
