PN Jaksel Holds a Trial for Roy Suryo's Pre-trial Decision

Suspect in the case of defamation and defamation related to the authenticity of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Roy Suryo attended the pretrial ruling hearing at the PN Jaksel/ANTARA/Luthfia Miranda Putri.

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel) held a pretrial hearing for the case of search and arrest of Roy Suryo by the Polda Metro Jaya investigators.

"The trial is scheduled for 13.00 WIB," said South Jakarta District Court Public Relations Officer Halida Rahardhini, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 7.

The pre-trial hearing for Roy Suryo was chaired by Single Judge I Ketut Darpawan.

Roy Suryo's legal team said their pretrial application highlighted four points of what the Metro Jaya Police investigators had done regarding the search and arrest case.

The four points of the pretrial application submitted to the South Jakarta District Court are related to the legality of the coercive measures, namely the arrest, detention, search on June 19, 2026, as well as legal certainty regarding the status of Roy's ban imposed by the Metro Jaya Police through immigration.

The preliminary trial ensures that the arrest and detention carried out by the Metro Jaya Police have been in accordance with the provisions of the criminal procedure law or not.

Based on the South Jakarta District Court's Case Tracking Information System (SIPP), Roy Suryo's pretrial was registered with number 99/Pid.Pra/2026/ON.JKT.SEL dated June 22, 2026. In this case, the defendant is the Government of the Republic of Indonesia cq Metro Jaya Police cq Dirreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya cq Kasubdit Kamneg cq Investigation Team and Attorney General cq Jampidum at the Attorney General's Office cq DKI Jakarta Prosecutor's Office.

In the registration of the lawsuit, it is written that the lawsuit is filed regarding the legality or not of the forced arrest attempt carried out by the Polda Metro Jaya. In addition, related to the search that was carried out by the State Security Sub-Directorate investigators.

Previously, information from the Academic & Activist Anti-Criminal Advocacy Team (TA-AKAA) stated that on June 19, 2026, at around 07.00 WIB, Roy Suryo Notodiprojo, was reported by his wife, had been arrested by Me Polda investigators.
