Previously, the East Jakarta City Government (Pemkot) said that it had temporarily handled the slippery road on the banks of Kali Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta, to prevent casualties.

"We have made temporary efforts, the Water Resources Sub-Office (Sudin SDA) has temporarily handled it by installing dolken-dolken," said the Mayor of East Jakarta Munjirin.
