Through LPSK, Brigadier Nurhadi's Wife Submitted Rp771 Million Restitution To The Mataram District Court Judge

MATARAM The wife of the late Brigadier Muhammad Nurhadi, Elma Agustina, through the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) submitted a request for restitution worth Rp771 million to the panel of judges at the Mataram District Court.

Elma submitted the restitution document when he was present as the first witness in the first trial to prove the murder of her husband which was held at the Mataram District Court. The trial was chaired by the panel of judges chaired by Lalu Moh. Sandi Iramaya.

Public prosecutor (JPU) Ahmad Budi Muklish confirmed the application for restitution in the form of an official calculation document from LPSK.

"Yes, earlier from the victim's family who applied for restitution, compensation, the LPSK has also calculated it, accompanied by earlier. The total is around Rp. 771 million for funeral expenses and others," Budi said after the trial, as reported by Antara, Monday, December 1.

The application for restitution is regulated in Law Number 31 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 13 of 2006 concerning the Protection of Witnesses and Victims. In criminal cases, families or third parties who are harmed can demand restitution as a form of recovery for the losses incurred.

The restitution document from LPSK will later become a consideration for the panel of judges to be charged to the defendants.

This case dragged two defendants who were members of the National Police who had been fired, namely Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama and Ipda I Gde Aris Chandra Widianto.

At the first trial of evidence, the Public Prosecutor presented three witnesses from the family of the late Brigadier Nurhadi.

Elma, yang menjadi saksi pertama, memberikan keterangan mengenai kondisi suaminya sebelum berangkat ke Gili Trawangan bersama kedua terdakwa hingga kabar kematiannya.

Dalam persidangan, Elma juga menyampaikan adanya kejanggalan pada tubuh suaminya saat jenazah dimandikan, yakni temuan luka lebam dan sobek. Kejanggalan tersebut menjadi alasan kuat bagi keluarga untuk melapor ke polisi agar penyebab kematian Brigadir Nurhadi dapat terungkap.

Elma, who became the first witness, gave information about her husband's condition before leaving for Gili Trawangan with the two defendants until the news of his death.

During the trial, Elma also conveyed that there were irregularities in her husband's body when the body was washed, namely the finding of bruises and lacerations. This irregularity is a strong reason for the family to report to the police so that the cause of Brigadier Nurhadi's death can be revealed.
