Roy Suryo Cs Submits A Letter Of Application For Special Cases To Polda Metro

JAKARTA - Roy Suryo Cs' attorney, Ahmad Khozinudin, explained his purpose of coming to the Polda Metro Jaya on Thursday, November 20, 2025 afternoon, to submit a letter of application for a special case title to investigators.

Khozinudin revealed that the application for a special case title had actually been submitted since July 21, 2025, but has not yet been followed up.

"Today we again sent a letter requesting a special case title because previously there was no progress from the Head of Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya," he told the media at Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday, November 20, 2025.

He also questioned the reason for the absence of a special case when the investigation at Polda Metro Jaya was raised to an investigation. In fact, said Khozinudin, a title like that was carried out by Bareskrim when the investigation was stopped.

Khozinudin emphasized that the existence of public support was the main reason his client was not detained.

"Don't believe that there are parties who claim to be instrumental in preventing our clients from being detained. What makes them not detained is the prayers and support of the Indonesian people," he concluded.

Previously, in the case of allegations of Jokowi's fake diploma, the police had named eight suspects. The details are five suspects in the first cluster, namely Eggi Sudjana, Kurnia Tri Rohyani, Damai Hari Lubis, Rustam Effendi, and Muhammad Rizal Fadillah.

The three suspects in the second cluster are Roy Suryo, Rismon Hasiholan Sianpiar, and Tifauzia Tyassuma.

Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri conveyed the determination of the suspect after a case was carried out on the report made by Jokowi.

"Based on the results of the investigation, we have named 8 people as suspects that we divided into two clusters," he said.

Roy Suryo, Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, and Dr. Tiffa, were not detained, the decision was taken because the suspects submitted experts and witnesses who lightened the three suspects.

The suspects were charged with Article 310 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 311 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 27A in conjunction with Article 32 in conjunction with Article 35 of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE).
