JAKARTA - An explosion occurred in the Taman Palem Lestari area, West Cengkareng, West Jakarta on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The source of the explosion allegedly came from a leak of a 12 kilogram gas cylinder regulator in one of the residents' houses.

As a result of the explosion, the house occupied by Eliharti (73) in Block A27 No.3 RT 013/016 suffered severe damage. Meanwhile, the victim Eliharti (73) suffered burns of up to 70 percent. The victim was rushed to Pertamina Hospital for intensive treatment.

In addition, the roof of the house also collapsed, the ceiling and window frame were destroyed. Even the gate canopy also collapsed due to the strong pressure from the explosion.

In addition, the neighbor's house next to her occupied by Woen Fenny also did not escape the impact of the explosion. The ceiling of the house was broken and the door frame was heavily damaged. Victim Woen Fenny suffered abrasions on his head due to the impact.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cengkareng Police, AKP Parman Gultom, confirmed the explosion incident.

"Yes, that's right, there has been an explosion that allegedly came from a leak from a 12 kilogram gas cylinder regulator at the house of a resident of Taman Palem Lestari," he said when confirmed, Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

As of this afternoon, a joint team from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cengkareng Police, the West Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim, and the National Police Inafis conducted a crime scene (TKP).
