JAKARTA - The police arrested a teenage boy suspected of being the perpetrator of the stabbing of three Switzer Learning Center school employees in California. The perpetrator also installed a pipe bomb at his former school.

The Torrance Police Department in California said it was investigating an incident that occurred on Monday, October 13 morning. In that incident, the teenager tried to stab a fourth employee before finally escaping.

Two victims were immediately taken to Harbor General Hospital and are currently receiving treatment for lifeless injuries, read a statement from the Torrance Police Department, Tuesday, October 14, quoted by ABC News.

The third victim was treated at the scene by the Torrance Fire Department, continued the statement.

It didn't take long for the police to arrest the perpetrator. After being interrogated, the perpetrator said he installed two pipe bombs around 208 Street and Amapola Avenue, near his former school.

Two explosives have been found, and both have been confirmed as incendiary devices, which have been secured by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Bomb Disposal Team, continued the police.

"After thorough investigation and assessment of the area, we are proud to report that there is no ongoing threat to the public. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Bomb Disposal Team has completed its investigation and declared the area safe," the police said in a statement.

The police did not reveal the name, age, or potential motive of the attack on the grounds that the investigation was still ongoing.
