Youth from Belur Village in Diamuk Mass when Caught Stealing a Motorcycle in Tanjung Priok

Muhamad Ridwan, a young man from Jalan Warakas 1, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, was battered by the crowd after being caught stealing a black Honda Beat motorcycle belonging to a woman with the initials AND (23).

The incident occurred in the 21 Gang area, Kelurahan 21, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta. The 'self-judging' action was successfully stopped by members of the Tanjung Priok Police Criminal Unit who arrived at the scene.

For further legal proceedings, the perpetrators and evidence of the crime were taken to the Tanjung Priok Police.

After traveling around looking for the target motorcycle for theft, the perpetrator finally saw the victim's black Honda Beat motorcycle with the number B 3045 UOY. He immediately launched the motorcycle theft.

After succeeding, the perpetrator took away the victim's motorcycle with the initials AND. However, when the perpetrator fled, the victim caught sight of his motorcycle being taken away by the perpetrator until the victim finally screamed.

"The victim immediately chased the perpetrator who was carrying his motorcycle while shouting thief," he said.

However, the victim's efforts were in vain, the port managed to escape his pursuit. However, the victim was able to recognize the perpetrator's characteristics so that he asked the surrounding community for help to find the perpetrator.

Not long after, it turned out that the perpetrator returned to the scene to pick up the electric bicycle that had previously been left at the location while stealing the victim's motorcycle AND.

"When taking the electric bike, the perpetrator was caught and arrested by residents until he was attacked by the crowd. We immediately went to the location to secure the perpetrator and evidence," he said.

Currently, the perpetrator is still in the Tanjung Priok Police detention cell to undergo legal proceedings. The police are also still developing the network of the motor theft perpetrators.

"We urge the public to be careful and always keep an eye on their vehicles when parking. Double lock as an effort to anticipate theft," he said.
