KPK Secretly Examines Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo, Former President Director Of PT Antam Last Week

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has apparently examined Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo as the former President Director of PT Aneka Tambang (Persero), Tbk last week.

There is no information regarding the investigation because the father of the former Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo should be examined today, Tuesday, October 14. He was questioned as a witness to the alleged corruption in the metal anode processing cooperation between PT Antam and PT Loco Montrado.

"The submission of the examination schedule is because the person concerned today has other activities that have been scheduled previously," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, October 14.

Budi said Arie Prabowo was questioned at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Tuesday, October 7. However, in the agenda of the examination at that time there was no name.

As for the examination, Budi said, investigators explored several things. Including the matter of the cooperation process which resulted in the loss of state finances.

"During the examination, investigators studied the process of processing metal anodes between PT Antam and PT Loco Montrado which cost the state more than Rp100 billion," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK has named two people as suspects in the case of corruption in the metal anode processing cooperation between PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk and PT Loco Montrado. They are Siman Bahar and Dodi Marniki (DM) as General Manager of the PT Antam Processing Unit.

Dodi has now been sentenced to 6.5 years in prison. Meanwhile, Siman Bahar has not been detained due to his health condition.

The status of the suspect Siman Bahar had died after the South Jakarta Court Judge (PN Jaksel) granted the pretrial lawsuit he filed. However, the KPK again named Siman Bahar as a suspect for the second time.
