Residents Damaged The House Of Brigadier Esco's Wife In West Lombok

The police officers followed up legally on the actions of a group of residents who vandalized the house of Brigadier Esco Faska Rely's wife, Brigadier Rizka Sintiani, a suspect in the murder of her husband.

"Yes, for the time being (the vandalism case) is being handled by the West Lombok Police," said Head of Public Relations of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, Kombes Muhammad Kholid, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 8.

The act of destroying the deceased's residence in Nyiur Lembang Hamlet, Jembatan Hangung Village, Lembar District, West Lombok Regency, which was the location of the murder, was recorded in a 32-second video and spread widely on Facebook social media.

The Facebook account that shared the video recording of the vandalism action in the form of a personal upload was named Acem Chocem. The video was recorded to have been uploaded at around 18.00 WITA.

In the video footage, a group of residents can be seen destroying the wall fence and destroying all the furniture in the house that was once inhabited by the late Brigadier Esco and his wife and children.

It was also seen that the figure of a uniformed member of the National Police, one of whom was seen wearing a blue beret, was in the middle of the yard recording the actions of residents using their devices.

The house is recorded as still part of the completeness of evidence in the murder case of Brigadier Esco which is running at the police investigation stage. This can be seen in the video footage related to the police line that is still stretched along the fence wall of the house.

Head of the West Lombok Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Adjunct Police Commissioner Lalu Eka Arya Mardiwinata, who was confirmed by telephone and short message from the WhatsApp application, has not provided an official statement.

Therefore, the identity of a group of residents who carried out the vandalism on Wednesday afternoon has not been confirmed. Likewise with the motive of the action which is classified as anarchist.

Head of Sub-Directorate III of the NTB Police, AKBPi Catur Erwin Setiawan, previously said that his party believed that other people were involved in the alleged murder case of Brigadier Esco.

"In our opinion, a woman cannot appoint (the body of Brigadier Esco). It must be assisted by someone else. Therefore, yesterday's reconstruction used (the role) Mr. X," said Catur.

Mr. X appeared in the reconstruction of the alleged murder case of a member of the West Lombok Police, after Brigadier Rizka refused to continue the scene when Brigadier Esco's body moved from the back room of the house to the back garden of the house where residents were found.

The police in the follow-up scene of the reconstruction of the removal of Brigadier Esco's body, featured two people wearing identification necklaces that read Mr. X.

The emergence of the role of two people as Mr. X in the reconstruction which took place on Monday (29/9), has now opened the veil that Brigadier Rizka is not alone in knowing that her husband died.

Catur emphasized that investigators are currently working to explore the roles of the two Mr. X through the deepening of evidence.

"The determination of the suspect must be based on evidence. We are still collecting other evidence," he said.
