JAKARTA - A 17-year-old girl was arrested along with two men, 21 and 28 years each on suspicion of mass order fraud under the identity of a member of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

Citing Asia One, the arrests were made after the Anti-fraud Command of the Department of Commercial Affairs and the Central Police Division carried out simultaneous raids around West Batok Hill, Fernvale Lane, and Northshore Drive, from September 18 to 19.

Initial investigations found that the three suspects were suspected of acting on the instructions of a fraud syndicate.

The police stated that the suspect, one of the male suspects, played a role in handing over his Singpass credentials to syndicates for financial gain.

The two male suspects then helped unknown people to subscribe to telephone lines, some of which were known to be linked to mass order fraud using the identity of SAF members.

The Singapore Police said the investigation was still ongoing.

Meanwhile, the suspects are suspected of articles related to mass fraud with a threat of up to three years in prison, or a fine, or both.
