Deputy Minister Of Foreign Affairs Tata Calls Synergy Of The Indonesian Ministry Of Foreign Affairs And Danantara Strengthening Economic Diplomacy

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Arrmanatha C Nasir, said that Indonesia's synergy and diplomatic support for BPI Danantara is a necessity.

This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in "Briefing the Strategic Role of Indonesian Diplomacy to Support BPI Danantara in Strengthening Indonesia's Economy" at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.

In his remarks, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tata conveyed the mandate from the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono to the Head of Representatives and diplomats of Indonesia around the world to support Danantara optimally, more proactively and aggressively looking for cooperation opportunities, identifying the potential and realizing Danantara's strategic investment in friendly countries.

"The existence of the Danantara is very in line with the main tasks and functions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the ally of Indonesia's economic diplomacy. For this reason, Indonesia's synergy and diplomatic support for the Danantara is a necessity," said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tata in a statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Monday, July 21.

Concretely, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tata underlined joint efforts to strengthen the synergy between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Danantara, among others, through the establishment of a regular coordination mechanism, to ensure the alignment of investment priorities and diplomatic strategies.

In addition, Danantara also has the potential to support Indonesian diplomacy in the development cooperation sector through strategic development investments in developing countries. This synergy also needs to pay attention to compliance with applicable international norms and laws.

"I invite ladies and gentlemen in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Danantara and all Indonesian Representatives to collaborate closely in realizing what is the vision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia through the Danantara," said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tata.

This collaboration can be realized through various efforts, including regular coordination by involving the Directorate General of Economic Relations and Development Cooperation of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs which will focus on encouraging economic diplomacy.

Meanwhile, Danantara Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Pandu patria Sjahrir on the same occasion highlighted the importance of partnerships with various international stakeholders in supporting the Danantara mission, including access to co-investors and capital.

"The Indonesian Ambassadors abroad are eyes and tears for Danantara in expanding partnerships and access to knowledge, technology and know-how," explained Sjahrir.

In the discussion session, various potential international partnerships were highlighted by Danantara in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indonesian Representative for the Danantara.

The briefing, which was also attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Arif Havas Oegroseno, the candidate for the head of representatives of the Republic of Indonesia to representatives of the Republic of Indonesia around the world, is a collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the two parties will continue to strengthen collaboration and synergy to support the realization of the vision of Advanced Indonesia, ensuring that Danantara is known and trusted as a world-class sovereign wealth fund (SWF).
